Palm oil prices weaker on European vegoils market

Crude palm oil prices turned lower in late trade on Europe's vegetable oils market on Friday, pressured mainly by weakness in CBOT soyabean oil futures. Crude palm oil offers were down by between $2.50 and $7.50 a tonne cif Rotterdam after the late retreat. An October shipment traded at an unchanged $742.50 a tonne earlier in the day.
CBOT's most active soyabean oil contract was down 0.5 percent at 34.92 cents per lb at 1613 GMT. EU rapeseed oil offers were mostly lower, with recent strength of the euro against the dollar adding to downward price pressure.
