Rs 10 million paid to USA-based Pakistani

As a result of the efforts made by Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, payment of rupees 10 million has been made to a USA-based Overseas Pakistani. Commissioner OPC Afzaal Bhatti while giving details in this regard informed that Muhammad Afzal of USA lodged a complaint that he sold his plaza and farm house situated in district Gujranwala to Arif Javed and received Rs 20 million as earnest money but purchaser party instead of payment of remaining amount has illegally occupied his farm house after breaking the locks of the premises.
The complainant apprehended that the purchaser party can occupy his plaza as well. Commissioner OPC said that this complaint was referred to the District Overseas Pakistanis Committee (DOPC) Gujranwala for further action, which after continuous efforts ensured the payment of 10 million rupees to the expatriate Pakistani.
