A poetry collection of renowned poetess Munazza Batool was launched here at Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) on Monday evening. Munazza Batool's poetry book titled "Meray Jaisay ho Tum" ceremony was a ceremony full of joy and happiness, which was attended by well known writers, poets and social activists, Journalist and Industrialists. Ex-President of MCCI, Mian Fareed Mughis Sheikh commenting on her first collections of poetry congratulated her and lauded the Contribution.
He paid tributes to the literary work of Munazza adding that she produced outstanding poetry. Fareed Shaikh said that Multan Chamber was endeavouring to promote the literature, culture and art in South Punjab so that next generations could get benefit from it.
Professor Dr Liaquat Ali of Islamia University Bahawalpur presided the launching ceremony and said that Munazza Batool beautifully highlighted the social problems being faced by the people in this city. He said the acumen and vision of the poet is very evident in the book, terming Munazza a versatile person with a multitude of abilities. He said "The poetry in the book is impressive with a tinge of romantic overflow of emotions. It also contains a deep sense of nostalgia and grief over the erosion of golden n traditions of this area." Chaudhry Shafiq, Mumtaz Athar, Dr Tayyaba, Masud Jafari, and Professor Khalid said that it is Munazza's love and taste for poetry which lets her do such a job and termed her poetry as a significant and good contribution to contemporary literature. They said that she has done in a remarkable way and prove herself with great responsibility. Munazza has tried to sketch the reality of life in her book through her rich thoughts and vision. They also eulogized the services of Multan Chamber for promotion and preservation of literature, culture and art.
Munazza Batool said in her address that we are launching lectures on the poetry of great spiritual saints particularly Maulana Jalaluddin Roomi and Baba Bulleh Shah so that their message could be reached to the new generation. She also praised the services of Muhammad Ali Wasti former Director of Multan Arts Council.
