Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the overseas Pakistanis were the best ambassadors of the country abroad and had earned good name for the motherland through their conduct and excellent performance.
According to media cell of Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore, he was addressing the Pakistani community in the holy city of Makkah after performing Umrah along with three member delegation including Maulana Abdul Malik, JI Foreign Affairs chief Abdul Ghaffar Aziz and JI deputy secretary general, Muhammad Asghar. The JI chief is attending the conference of Rabita Alame Islami, there.
The JI chief stressed upon the Pakistanis in the holy land to counter the negative propaganda against the country through their good character and strictly observe the laws of the land where they were working.
However, he said that the tales of corruption of the country's rulers had damaged the country's image abroad and the overseas Pakistanis had to face this situation.
He said that the root cause of the disruption and terrorism in the county was the violation of the country's constitution and the laws by the rulers who were plundering the public money, including the remittances sent by the Pakistanis earned through their hard work from abroad, by transferring them to their personal bank accounts abroad.
He said that these problems could only be solved through strict observation of laws.
Sirajul Haq assured them that the JI would continue its efforts for the solution of all their problems including their right to vote so that they could play their role in the election by electing of an honest and competent leadership. The JI had already made this demand from the Election Commission, he added.
