SECP, PSX issue advice: awareness about rights can help avoid financial frauds

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) recognise that investors can easily avoid many of the financial frauds and disputes by simply having the awareness on their rights and shouldering certain responsibilities while investing in the markets. This can jointly be achieved by addressing any misalignment of investor and industry interests, particularly the information asymmetry.
For the awareness of the investing public, SECP has printed posters titled "Instructions for capital market investors" both in English and Urdu languages. These posters are readily available at PSX's Head Office, Record Room, PSX Admin Block, Stock Exchange premises for all Karachi based TREC Holders to collect the same. The regional TREC Holders based in Lahore and Islamabad can access the same at regional offices of the Exchange.
Along with the above posters, SECP has also designed an informational awareness standee on the captioned topic that can be accessed from the JamaPunji advert that pops up while accessing the PSX website. The SECP and PSX have asked all TREC Holders to display the poster at prominent locations in all their branches for the awareness of their clients.
