Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting here on Wednesday; in the meeting progress on infrastructure projects in province were reviewed. Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that modern mass transit means would bring quick development and generate new opportunities of employment. Punjab government has made infrastructure projects of billions of rupees and provided carpeted roads of thousands of kilometres in rural areas, he added.
The Chief Minister said that a project of elevated Expressway from Main Boulevard Gulberg to Motorway has been designed and work will start immediately on this public welfare project. Completion of this 10.7 KM long Expressway will help in smooth flow of traffic and facilitate the citizens. He directed to complete this project within stipulated time and added that it will be a high standard project and a hallmark of transparency to be completed with great speed like all other projects of Punjab government.
