The continuing snowfall has scaled down temperature in Kalam to minus nine degrees Celsius, as the Met Office forecast cold and dry weather for the country in the next 24 hours.
Mercury dropped to minus eight degrees Celsius in Parachinar and Astore, each, minus six in Skardu, Kalat, Gupis and Chitral, each, minus five in Malamjabba, minus four in Drosh, minus three in Bagrote and Dir, each and minus two in Hunza, Rawalakot and Zhob each, over the past 24 hours. It said that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," it added.
