On Friday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,153. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.14 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,357.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.04 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 3.02 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.89 billion, silver PKR 116.88 million, copper PKR 58.41 million and Brent crude oil PKR 0.597 million. In addition to this, in agricultural commodities, 21 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 8.44 million were also traded.
