A Pakistani national was apprehended by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) as he mistakenly crossed the border in Samba district, Police said on Sunday. "Security forces nabbed a Pakistan national while he was sneaking into Indian side close to Balhad Post near Basantar River in Ramgarh Sector of Samba," a senior police officer claimed.
"The arrested man has been identified as Mansher, 21, son of Mohammad Iqbal. Barring a tennis ball, playing cards and some Pakistan currency notes, no significant recoveries were made from him, who seemed to have crossed into this side of the border inadvertently," the official said. "He is being questioned to ascertain reasons behind the intrusion," he added.
