Punjab Assembly in its session here on Thursday passed 'The Punjab Civil Administration Bill 2017'. Two other bills 'The Punjab Land Records Authority Bill 2016'and 'The University of Home Economics Lahore Bill 2016 'were kept in pending on the occasion.
Discussion on the Annual Report of the Punjab Bait-ul- Mal could not put up in the house and would be taken up later in the coming session.
In the house certain Call Attention notices were passed on the occasion. A number of quorums were pointed during the session.
Punjab Assembly dealt with few queries on Transport, Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Departments on the occasion. Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and other parliamentary Secretaries answered the queries.
Parliamentary Secretary answering question on Transport stated that it was mandatory for Public Service Vehicle to take fitness certificate after six months.
He averred that this certificate would be taken under Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1965 and Motor Vehicles Rules 1969 in the province.
Parliamentary secretary said buses and wagons must adhere to density of traffic and road under sub rule 57-A of Motor Vehicles Rules 1969. The House was later adjourned by the chair.
