Punjab Assembly in its 26th session here Tuesday referred two resolutions 'The Punjab Land Preservation (Amendment) Bill 2016 and 'Punjab Animals Slaughter Control (Amendment) Bill 2016' to parliamentary standing committees. On Private Members Day a resolution moved by a legislator was passed asking for establishment of official website on life of Father of nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Legislator moving this motion stated that this would help in better conveying of message of Jinnah to masses.
In another resolution presented on the occasion, a legislator demanded that in order to purify water, treatment plants be established in the province. MPA Hina Pervaiz Butt in a resolution presented on the occasion asked to establish Nasir Bagh or any other place to in Lahore to avoid traffic problems during any protest. In another resolution passed, a legislator demanded that video games shops be checked in the province. He stated these were hampering mental faculty of young children in Punjab.
In question period in the session, Minister Jail replying to a query stated that pay scales of jail police were not equal to other police cadres. He averred that by notification of Home Department Punjab, post of Assistant Superintendent Jail was now in scale 14-16. Under a notification by Punjab Government scale of Deputy Superintendent has been kept in scale 16-17, he pointed.
Provincial Minister to a query stated that in light of a resolution passed by Punjab Assembly, jail Authorities have built family rooms in four of the jails in the province. He stated that work on family rooms of other jails in the province would also be done.
Punjab Minister Youth on a query on the period told that there were three sports complexes for women in District Rawalpindi. The house was later adjourned by the Chair.
