The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has urged the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, to extend zero-rated facility to the auto part machinery. The LCCI executive committee member and former senior vice-president Malik Tahir Javed said that providing zero-rated facility to textile industry is a good step but dependence on a single sector for giving boost to the country's exports seems inadequate for overall revival of industrial sector.
He said that auto industry is flourishing in Pakistan that has attracted an investment of over Rs 20 billion. He stressed the need for including the auto industry in the incentive package for slashing the input cost.
