The Met Office on Saturday forecast cold and dry weather for the most parts of the country on Sunday (today). It said that partly cloudy weather was likely in upper and central parts of the country. However, light rain and snowfall are expected at one or two places of Quetta Division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Foggy conditions are likely in plain areas of Punjab and Upper Sindh during the night and morning hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A fresh westerly wave is likely to approach western parts of the country on Sunday. This strong weather system (westerly wave) is expected to produce more rains/snowfall over the hills in the country during the coming week," the office said.
In the next 48 hours cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country. However light rain/snowfall is expected at various places of Quetta Division and Gilgit-Baltistan. Foggy conditions are likely in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during the night and morning hours.
