17 hurt in DI Khan blast

At least 17 people, including five policemen, and three passer-by were injured in a roadside blast targeting a police vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday. According to police officials, the van was on routine patrolling when bomb planted on the Bannu road within the jurisdiction of the Cantt Police Station went off with a loud bang. Two women and a child were also among those injured. The injured police officers include constable Atta-ur-Rehman, Baqar, Mukhtar Hussain, Asif and Akram. Among other victims, a woman and security guard of Gomal University Muhammad Ali are seriously injured who have been referred to Multan.
