Allied Bank and Habib Metro Lions registered victories in matches played in the Lieutenant General Shah Rafi Alam Memorial Polo Cup 2016 here at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground on Wednesday. In the first match of the day, Allied Bank thrashed Guard Group by 10-3. Taimur Ali Malik was hero of the day as he hammered fabulous four goals while Hissam Ali Hyder assisted him superbly and contributed three goals, Taimur Mawaz Khan hit two and Shah Nawaz Ayaz one goal from the winning side.
From the losing side, Naveed Sheikh, Omar Asjad Malhi and Saqib Khan Khakwani scored one goal each. The second match of the day saw Habib Metro Lions edging out Lahori Badshah by 7-6. Ahmed Ali Tiwana and Raja Temur Nadeem played superb polo and contributed three goals each while Colonel (R) Nadeem Raja added one goal in their team's triumph.
