Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar has said on Saturday that government of Sindh was exceeding the limits the Constitution of Pakistan has given leaders of the province. Akhtar inaugurated an MRI facility in a private hospital in Karachi and while talking to the media afterwards, he rhetorically questioned why Sindh government was dealing with affairs of local bodies.
He complained that the government did not take him in confidence over agreement of importing Chinese machines to maintain cleanliness in the metropolis. Akhtar said that the government was responsible for provision of education and medical facilities to the people. Waseem Akhtar was released from prison earlier this week after he was granted bails in all 39 cases against him, not simultaneously though.
