Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhter said he will soon visit KMC run hospitals and take necessary measures for improvement in their performance. People would see considerable improvement in these hospitals in future. He was talking to media representatives after inaugurating the newly established MIR department at Mamji Hospital on Saturday.
MNA Shaikh Salahuddin, Dr Farooq Mamji, Dr Farrukh Mamji, Hafiz Yahya Mamji, Chairman DMC Central Rehan Hashmi, Vice Chairman Shakir Ali and other UC Chairmen and Vice Chairmen and councillors were also present on this occasion. Mayor Karachi said it was unfortunate that citizens have taken the responsibilities of the government whether it was health or education sector on help yourself-basis. Mayor Karachi had not been consulted regarding garbage lifting vehicles which were imported from China.
The city has now filled with garbage, would say to people that they just wait for some more time. Before this the Mayor Karachi inaugurated the MIR Machine after cutting the ribbon. He said those who serve the humanity got immense respect and I congratulate Mamji Hospital for having equipped this hospital with latest machinery and other facilities.
Mayor Karachi said our hospitals should also have some special concession packages for poor and middle class people. Replying to a question he said it would take some time to remove the heaps of garbage from the city that has been accumulated in last eight years. We will, however, work jointly to make this city clean and green Mayor Karachi said various matters pertaining to KMC and KDA will be solved in the days to come. Dr Farrukh Mamji on this occasion said this MIR machine has been imported from Japan and this facility is available in very few hospitals. People in district central would now have the opportunity to avail this facility.
