Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has organized the 7th Karachi-Peshawar Vintage and Classic Car Rally in collaboration with Land Rover and Vintage Car Club Pakistan (VCCP) that was rolled out in Karachi on 11th November and will reach Peshawar on 20th December 2016.
The rally of vintage and classic cars started from Karachi on 11th Nov, will pass through different stops including Gambut, Rahimyar Khan, Multan, and Lahore. The rally will stopover at Polo ground Lahore for Car show on 16th November En route to Peshawar the rally will move to Islamabad on 19th November and will finally reach Peshawar on 20th November 2016.
After one night stay at Peshawar Services Club, the rally will be preceded from Balahisar Fort (Frontier Corps HQ) to Khyber Riffle Mess, Landikotal. Around 15 classics cars from Karachi has participated the rally which will be joined by other 10 cars from Lahore, 25 from Islamabad and 25 from Peshawar later on.
The unique cars collection including Hupmobile, Rolls Royce Silver Wraith (1939), MG TD (1950), Humber Hawk (1957), Ford Thunderbird (1960), Ford Mustang (1964), Austin Mini (1967), Alfa Romeo, Mercedes 108s, MGB, Austin-Healey, MGA Roadster, Chevrolet Corvette (1982), Peugeot 404, Mini Clubman 1275GT and others, which will make the event extra-ordinary and appealing for the visitors. Talking to media, the Managing Director TCKP Mr Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that the aim of this event is to enthrall the visitors to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other provinces and to portray the positive and soft image to the outer world.
