FR Peshawar clinched the trophy of the All Pakistan FATA Cricket Tournament after defeating host Bajaur Agency team in the final by two wickets played at Bajaur Sports Complex. International cricketers' including fast bowler Muhammad Asif and Mansoor Elahi graced the occasion as guests. There was great enthusiasm witnessed as hundreds and thousands cricketing fans were present during the thrilling final.
In the final host Bajaur Agency skipper won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 181 runs target, thanks to dashing batting by Walayat Shah who hammered a cracking century (108) runs. For FR Peshawar Zia Ullah claimed three wickets.
It was dramatically ended final as in reply, FR Peshawar chased the target in 19.4 overs with two balls to spare. FR Peshawar needed 41 runs in the last two overs but Khail Aman got 29 runs off Hayat Ullah 19th over and turned around the match in favour of FR Peshawar.
At the end, Assistant Political Agency Khar Muhammad Ali Khan, cricketer Muhammad Asif and Manzoor Elahi gave away trophies and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up.
