London: Europe's main stock markets dropped at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.5 percent to 7,584.87 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.5 percent to 12,289.81 points and the Paris CAC 40 slid 0.4 percent to 5,308.44 compared with Wednesday's closing levels.
