Blast in Lower Dir kills two policemen, civilian

Two police personnel and a civilian were killed while two other policemen were injured in a bomb blast on Thursday in Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The blast targeted a police van that was on a patrol to investigate the killing of a village defence council, local media reported. The police personnel came under the attack of the blast that was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device.

The deceased police personnel were identified as SHO Bakh Buner and constable Irfan, while the civilian has yet to be identified. The two injured policemen were taken to a nearby hospital, while an investigation is under way.
