119 candidates submitted nomination papers on provincial and 15 on National constituencies in Balochistan

QUETTA: Election Commissioner Balochistan Nayaz Ahmed Baloch Wednesday said that like other provinces the process of submission of nomination papers for general election 2018 is geared up in Balochistan.

Election Commission has been receiving nomination papers by candidates for 16 National Assembly and 51 Provincial Assembly‘s vacated seats in Balochistan.

He said that till now election commission has received 11 nomination papers for reserved seats of women and 6 for minorities.

This series of submitting nomination papers will continue till June 8. He said that until now, 119 candidates in Balochistan submitted nomination papers for provincial constituencies and 15 papers have been filed for National constituencies.

He said that in Musa Khail and Sherwani (PB-1) only one candidate submitted paper, in Killa Saif Ullah (PB-3) twelve, Keach (NA-271) fifteen candidates’ submitted papers Independent candidates and those belonging to different political parties in Balochistan have been submitting nomination papers to election commission.

Former Advisor for Finance Ruqaya Hashmi, Former Speaker Balochistan Assembly Raheela Hamid Khan Durrani and Ms.Ghazala Gola has also received nomination papers from provincial election commission officer.
