Thousands of faithful sit for Itikaf

MULTAN: Thousands of the faithful sat for Itikaf in different Masajid of the city, here on Tuesday evening.

The city's big Masajid including Eid Gah Masjid, Abdali Masjid, Cantt. Masjid, Masjid Farooq-e-Azam are crowded with faithfuls. Similarly, administration of Faizan-e-Madina Masjid made arrangements for 1500 faithfuls.

The faithfuls have left their regular and routine life matters and sat for Itikaf. Most of the faithful set up their camps after Asr prayer.

Faithful Rashid Qureshi while talking to APP informed, "I sit for Itikaf every year."

The faithful observing Itikaf would worship in the Masajid till the sighting of Shawwal Moon. During this period, they will offer special prayers and seek Allah Almighty's blessings and mercy.

Similarly, women also sat for Itikaf in different rooms of their homes.
