KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 23,610.05 points with a negative change of -256.10 and volume of 76,380,600 shares. High and Low were 23,913.97 and 23,505.96 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 4 were up, 25 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 153,514,800 shares. Total companies traded were 364 of which 86 were positive, 259 were negative and 19 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 22,254,500 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 18,718,900 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 8,499.99 (325.49), Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 8,100 (197.50), Mari Petroleum Company Limited with a volume of 92,560 and price per share of 1,593.97 (43.83).

The top three decliners were Unilever Pakistan Foods Ltd (R) with a volume of 520 and price per share of 2,004 (-98.06), Hinopak Motors Limited with a volume of 3,100 and price per share of 1,092.93 (-26.32), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 40,380 and price per share of 1,275.91 (-25.96).
