ISLAMABAD: Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla Friday said Chinese investors should benefit from the investment potential in Pakistan and explore the possibilities of public private partnership for initiation of joint projects in various fields.

He expressed these views in a meeting with a three-member Chinese delegation headed by Zhang Junbo here at the Parliament House.

The Senate deputy chairman said there is conducive environment for investment in Pakistan and huge potential for joint ventures with private sector besides the government to government projects.

Chinese companies need to invest in private sectors in Pakistan by collaborating with local companies, he added.

He said historic friendship of Pakistan and China has remained beneficial for both in economic and strategic fields. he said friendship between the two countries have stood the test of time and bilateral relationships are on positive trajectory.

Senator Saleem Mandviwalla emphasized the need for increased exchange of visits at the business community level for exploring new avenues for cooperation.

He said people of Pakistan are proud of China’s socio-economic progress and looking forward for further strengthening their mutually beneficial partnership.

Leader of the delegation agreed with the views of the Senate deputy chairman and stressed the need for further boosting economic cooperation between two sides. Members of the delegation informed the Deputy Chairman Senate about their plan to invest in different projects in Pakistan.
