'World Firefighters Day' observed in city

HYDERABAD: The Firefighters of Hyderabad observed World Firefighters Day here on Friday like other parts of the world.

In this connection, the firefighters brought out a rally from Central Fire Brigade Latifabad Unit-8 which after marching various roads of Latifabad and Hyderabad city terminated in front of Hyderabad Press Club.

Addressing the participants, the Chief Fire Officer Muhammad Unous Qureshi said that objective of bringing out the rally was to pay tributes to those firefighters who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties.

He on the occasion demanded the government to provide latest equipments and machinery so that the firefighters could discharge their responsibilities in better and safe direction.
