KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khawaja on Tuesday directed the officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements at the district, zone and range levels for each and every mosque, imambargah, madrasa and sites designated for ‘taraweeh’ prayers in the holy month of Ramazan Kareem, which is expected to be begin from 15 May.
He said that proper traffic flow arrangements should also be made besides protection of life and property of citizens.
Khowaja directed the officials that remain in touch with Sindh Rangers and other law enforcement agencies and make an effective security plan.
He asked due attention to area-wise crime analysis, adding keeping in view law and order situation of other provinces a foolproof security plan for Ramazan be formed .
Khawaja asked the officials to assign special responsibilities to the police commandos, adding technical sweeping, clearance, advance intelligence collection and sharing, random snap checking, picketing and patrolling must be ensured beside arrest of suspected offenders.
