Rich tribute paid to Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasimi

A rich tribute was paid to eminent scholar Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasimi on his 10th death anniversary organised by Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasimi Chair, University of Sindh in very decent and gracious manner at the tomb of Mian Ghulam Nabi Kalhoro on Monday.
A large number educationists, scholars, intellectuals and writers and students of Allama Qaismi were present in the Quran Khuwani, floral wreath ceremony. The launching ceremony of two books namely "Mitho Mursal" ( Biography) compiled by Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasimi and another Index of Monthly Al-Raheem and Al-Wali published by Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi Chair was also organised on the occasion. Noted scholar Dr. Ghulam Ali Allana who presided over the launching ceremony of books said that Allama Qasimi was a scholar who guided and benefited young scholars in their research oriented work.
He said that Allama Qasmi always encouraged scholars in their research and spent his full life in promotion of research and education. Dr. Allana appreciated efforts made by chair and lauded efforts of Allama Qasmi Chair for the publication of 14 books of Allama Qasmi and holding many conferences. Dr. Allana also appreciated scholarly contribution of Mirza Qaleech Baig Chair, University of Sindh, Shah Abdul Latif Chair University of Karachi and Sachal Chair of Shah Latif University Khairpur.
He said that Sindh has produced many scholars and intellectuals who had done remarkable contribution towards literature, history and other fields but today their services are not remembered. He appreciated efforts of Prof. Nazir Qasmi son of Allama Qasmi for organising death anniversary event and remembering to his father. Dr. Asadullah Kazi Chancellor Isra University Hyderabad lauded scholarly services of Allama Qasmi and said that he was real promoter of research culture in the country.
He said that being honorary Professor in the University of Sindh Allama Qasmi produced more than 50 Ph.d scholars and M.Phil holders and simultaneously a number of scholars he guided in their research work. He emphasised the publication of abstracts of those Ph.D research papers for the guidance of other scholars. Noted writer Hameed Sindhi paid tribute to Allama Qasmi and said that Allama Sahib was his teacher and always counted him as family member. Another scholar Dr. Habibullah Siddiqui paid rich tribute to Allama Qasmi and said that Allama Sahib was religious scholar and intellectual having authority on Literature and education.
