SUKKUR: Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Javed Ahmed Jagirani has said that the government is taking proactive measures for improvement in health sector to provide better health facilities to the people.
Speaking as a chief guest at a seminar organised in connection with Peoples Primary Health Care Initiative (PPHI), here on Tuesday, he said that all resources would be utilised to provide effective health services to the people of Khairpur.
He said that an effective strategy is being undertaken to bring improvement in health sector. He stressed the need for making long and short term planning for human resource development, disaster management, primary health care and maternal child health and against different diseases including polio.
District health officer Khairpur, speaking on the occasion, said that the provincial government has taken practical steps for improvement in the health sector.
He said PPHI is helping evolve a comprehensive health strategy, and all available resources will be used in a better way for the welfare of the people of the district.
