Afridi’s Kashmir tweet draws ire of Sachin Tendulkar

Shahid Afridi's tweet in support of violence stricken Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) has spread like wild fire in the neighboring country, as now Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkatr has also come out with a strongly worded message for Afridi.
"It is obvious that we have capable people to manage our country, run our country. No outsider needs to know or tell us what we need to do," the former India captain and batting maestro Tendulkar said, condemning Afridi's comments on Kashmir.
Earlier, India's current captain Virat Kohli, alongside a host of other cricketers from India, lashed out at Afridi over his tweet.
“As an Indian you want to express what is best for your nation and my interests are always for the benefit of our nation. If anything opposes it, I would never support it for sure,” ANI quoted Kohli as saying.
The entire fiasco was started over Afridi’s tweet where he called the ongoing situation in the IoK as ‘appalling and worrisome’, while bashing the Indian armed forces in the process.
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?

The post didn’t sit well with many, as cricketers including Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina and others were quick to criticize Afridi on social media.
The star all-rounder has previously voiced his support for Kashmiri during the 2016 World T20 when he said that a lot of support for their team came from people of Kashmir.
