Protest rallies carry out against killings in IoK

MUZAFFARABAD: On the call of Prime Minister AJK, the people Monday observe black day and staged protest rallies against brutal killings of more than 20 youths in Shopian area of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) by Indian armed forces.
Main rally was organized at AJK's capital Muzaffarabad led by Minister Social Welfare Naureen Arif, Member Legislative Assembly Dr. Mustafa Bashir and former minister Bazil Ali Naqvi and participated by hundreds of people.
The participants of rally were carrying banners and placards condemning the killings of 20 youth in IOK. They marched from Azad Chouk to Gharipan chouk in the middle of the city and chanted slogans against Indian brutalities in held Kashmir.
Member AJK legislative Assembly, Dr. Mustafa Bashir while addressing the rally said Indian democracy was bitterly exposed after recent killing and inhuman atrocities by its forces in IOK however he expressed anguish over silence of civilized world and countries on India's inhuman acts from the past many years.
He called upon the Pakistan government to raise the issue at international forums forcefully and stressed the world powers particularly United Nations to take a serious cognizance of gross human rights’ violations and extra judicial killings by Indian forces.
He said Sunday was the deadliest day in occupied Kashmir where more than 20 youth were killed and hundreds were injured by Indian forces during a midnight operation in a populace area and the whole valley had stood against this brutality.
He said the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir were fully backing their brethren in occupied Kashmir and the struggle for right to self determination would continue till its logical end and such brutalities could not suppress the resolve.
Protest rallies were also held in Neelum Valley, Hattian Balla, Bagh, Rawalakot, Kotli and Mirpur district of AJK against the carnage condemning Indian atrocities. Participant of the rallies chanted slogans against India and demanded of the international community to come up with the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their just cause and stop Indian from these acts.
