85 percent out of 18 million Pakistanis watching television with their families while spending their leisure time, recent study revealed on Friday. According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 85 percent of Pakistanis sit and watch TV with their families.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked "Do you often sit and watch TV with your family or somewhere else?" Responding to this, 85 percent said with family, 12 percent said somewhere else and 2 percent said they don't watch TV. However, 1 percent did not give a response. Question: "Do you often sit and watch TV with your family or somewhere else?"
The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2,710 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during March 11, 2013 - March 18, 2013. Gallup Pakistan says the error margin is estimated to be approximately 2-3 percent at 95 percent confidence level.
