RAWALPINDI: Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC) Saima Younas Tuesday directed to ensure checking and surveillance of graveyards, junkyards, commercial plazas, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, school and colleges, under construction sites, parks, open plots, abandoned sites, petrol pumps and all other spots by all concerned quarters.
Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue campaign, she directed officials of the Health department to create awareness among the people to keep their houses clean and leave no place wet or with stagnant water.
The ADC directed surveillance activities or tracing larva and its eradication should be further expedited besides focusing on hotspots where from dengue cases were reported last year equally giving attention towards the places where from larva had been detected during current checking.
Saima said spread of dengue was under control and no dengue case was reported in Rawalpindi due to timely anti-dengue activities.
She directed the officials that anti-dengue regulations should be fully implemented and stern action would be taken against those failing to comply with the laws.
