Pakistan middle order batsman Umar Akmal became a mascot for trolls on social media, after his dismal showings for the Lahore Qalandars at Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The younger Akmal brother has admitted his shortcoming at the recently concluded T20 tournament, and has announced to improve in the future, meanwhile praising Pakistan security forces and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management, alongside overseas players for making the league a success.
“My PSL performance has been way below me and my team’s expectations and I have to improve. But seeing the matches played in Pakistan and the joy of people I’m happy as our cricket is going in right direction. The security forces n PCB management and overseas players deserve a very big round of applause,” stated Akmal on social media.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad United clinched their second PSL title after beating defending champions Peshawar Zalmi by three wickets with 19 deliveries remaining at the final in Karachi on Sunday.
