London: Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index almost flat at 7,061.98 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index climbed 0.2 percent to 12,336.76 points and the Paris CAC 40 was virtually unchanged at 5,252.78 compared with Tuesday's close.
