Death penalty awarded in murder case

FAISALABAD: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka on Wednesday awarded death sentence to an accused involved in a murder case of Rail Bazaar police station.

According to the prosecution, security guard Munawar had shot dead Ateeq over a monetary dispute in Gol Chowk Katchery Bazaar some time ago.

After observing evidences and witnesses, the court awarded the capital punishment to Munawwar and ordered him for paying Rs500,000 as compensation to legal heirs of the deceased.
