Police foils terror bid, arrests five terrorists

SUKKUR: Police on a tip-off thwarted a terror bid and arrested five alleged terrorists from Sukkur By-Pass on Sunday night, local police said here.

The law enforcement agencies carried out a targeted operation in the area and nabbed five terrorists and recovered detonators, ball-bearings and other material used in making suicide bombs.

According to police, the arrested terrorists, Hadayat, Jamal, Yar Muhammad, Sher Ali and Nazar, were going to Karachi from Sukkur to carry out terrorist activities there allegedly. Four of them belong to Balochistan, Police said.
