Wafi Energy Pakistan reports Q3 2026 results

Published Updated

The Board of Directors of Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited (WEPL) announced its financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2026. WEPL reported a profit after tax of PKR 6,558 million for the first nine months of the year, compared with PKR 3,030 million in the same period last year. The results were announced amid continued volatility in global oil markets, supply-side pressures and a challenging operating environment. WEPL also announced a dividend of PKR 4 per share.

During this period, WEPL continued to expand its retail network, adding 54 new Shell retail sites, 26 Shell Select stores and 9 Shell Recharge electric vehicle charging locations. WEPL continued to serve customers across its consumer and industrial lubricants businesses through product offerings and customer engagement. New alliances and partnerships further supported the growth of its retail business and customer offering.
As part of its community initiatives, WEPL supported children’s education through its partnership with The Dawood Foundation’s MagnifiScience Centre. WEPL also secured first place in the IFC–Pakistan Business Council’s Climate2Equal initiative for work carried out through WEPL’s Access to Energy programme, which supports women and rural communities.

During the period, Shell recognized Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited as Shell Licensee of the Year 2025, among Shell licensees worldwide. The recognition reflects WEPL’s work across its business and its commitment to operational standards, safety and customer service.

Commenting on the results, Zubair Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer, said, “Over the first nine months, we have continued to grow our business and improve our position in the market. We have expanded our retail network and increased our non-fuel retail offerings to better serve our customers, despite a challenging operating environment. I am proud of what our team has achieved and their commitment. We will keep investing in our business and building on this progress to create long-term value for our shareholders and Pakistan.”

Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited will continue to build on this progress, while working to maintain reliable energy supply and support Pakistan’s evolving energy needs.
