The deputy commissioner added that Afghan Taliban personnel were forced to abandon their posts and flee following the strong response by the security forces. He said no casualties were reported in the Pakistani border areas so far, adding that the security forces remained prepared to respond to any form of aggression.
The latest exchange comes days after Afghan Taliban forces opened unprovoked fire on civilian houses and Angoor Adda Bazaar on the night of October 27.
