RAWALPINDI: The security forces personnel have killed eight Indian-sponsored terrorists during intelligence-based operations in different cities of Balochistan.
According to an the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement released on Sunday, on 17 October 2026, the security forces personnel conducted three intelligence-based operations in Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar Districts of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan, neutralising eight Indian-sponsored terrorists.
On 17 October 2026, terrorists attempted to establish roadblock in Panjpai area of Quetta District to disrupt local traffic, but were intercepted by the security forces, resulting in killing of five Indian-sponsored terrorists.
Furthermore, during sanitisation operation in Nushki District, the security forces personnel busted terrorists’ hideout and after an intense fire exchange, two Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered.
In another intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar District, a terrorists’ hideout was engaged by the security forces personnel through prompt offensive action, whereby, killing an Indian-sponsored terrorist. Large quantity of explosive (490 kilograms) was also recovered.
Sanitization operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist found in the area.
Relentless counter-terrorism campaign under vision “Azm-e-Istehkam” (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by the security forces and the law-enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday lauded the security forces for successfully eliminating eight India-sponsored terrorists during three separate intelligence-based operations in the Quetta, Noshki and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan.
Commending the security forces for their professional capabilities, they praised them for foiling an attempt to disrupt local traffic in the Panjpai area of Quetta and eliminating the terrorists involved.
They also paid rich tribute to the forces for carrying out an effective operation against a terrorist hideout in Nushki, resulting in the elimination of the terrorists.
Furthermore, they appreciated the timely and successful operation in Khuzdar, where security forces targeted a terrorist hideout and recovered 490 kilograms of explosives.
They reiterated that the conspiracies hatched by terrorists’ foreign patrons and their local facilitators would be decisively thwarted.
The president praised them for foiling an attempt to disrupt local traffic in the Panjpai area of Quetta and eliminating the terrorists involved, President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.
President Zardari also paid rich tribute to the forces for carrying out an effective operation against a terrorist hideout in Noshki, resulting in the elimination of the terrorists.

The president reiterated that the conspiracies hatched by terrorists’ foreign patrons and their local facilitators would be decisively thwarted.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operations, saying that under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, the security forces were achieving significant successes in the fight against terrorism.
He reiterated the government’s resolve to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
