KARACHI: Saylani Welfare International Trust hosted a special dinner in honour of 90 students from Balochistan and Waziristan, including 40 young individuals who successfully completed advanced Information Technology (IT) training programmes and 50 others currently pursuing various IT courses under Saylani’s skills development initiative.

The event also brought together successful Saylani IT alumni from the United States and Dubai, who shared their inspiring journeys from receiving free IT education to establishing successful businesses in the international technology industry.

The dinner was hosted by Afzal Chamdia, Chairman of the Saylani Education Board, at his residence. Founder and Chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, attended as the chief guest.

Prominent attendees included Saylani Chief Executive Officer Madni Bashir, trustees Raees Fattah, Syed Abu Faisal, Ali Aslam and Amjad Chamdia, Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Ghazzal, and other distinguished guests.

During the gathering, it was highlighted that 40 students from Balochistan and Waziristan had successfully completed professional training in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Marketing and other emerging fields of Information Technology.

Meanwhile, more than 50 additional students from these regions are currently enrolled in various IT training programmes offered by Saylani.

Addressing the gathering, Saylani IT alumni visiting from the United States and Dubai recalled how the organization had provided them with opportunities to acquire modern IT skills nearly a decade ago. They shared that the training had helped transform their professional lives, enabling them to establish successful careers in the global technology sector and launch their own IT companies abroad.

It was also revealed during the event that an IT company established in the United States by a former Saylani student has achieved a valuation exceeding USD 100 million, reflecting the potential of Pakistan’s skilled youth to compete and succeed in international technology markets.

The participating students and alumni reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth by leveraging their technical expertise, emerging technologies and international business opportunities.

They also expressed their determination to support the long-term vision of Saylani Founder and Chairman Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, which aims to strengthen Pakistan’s technology sector and contribute US$100 billion annually to the national economy.

The young IT professionals pledged to play an active role in generating valuable foreign exchange, reducing Pakistan’s debt burden and positioning the country as a competitive force in the global IT industry.

The gathering highlighted Saylani’s continued commitment to empowering talented youth from underserved regions through technology education and equipping them with the skills required to pursue professional opportunities in Pakistan and abroad.
