KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 133,480 Tons of Cargo Comprising 72,114 Tons of Import Cargo and 61,366 Tons of Export Cargo during last 24 hrs ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 72,114 Tons Comprised of 20,686 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 1,770 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 5,958 Tons of Dap and 43,700 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 61,366 Tons Comprised of 40,314 Tons of Containerized Cargo, 570 Tons of Bulk Cargo, 3,028 Tons of Cement, 15,204 Tons of Clinkers &2,250 Tons of Liquid Cargo.
There are five ships namely GSL Rossi, GFS Pride, Hua Chuang 66, Express Berlin and Chemstar River at berth at Karachi Port Trust.
Ten ships namely Hmm Forest, Lai Zhou 66, Hua Chuang 66, M.T Lahore, Ocean Pioneer, Tarlan, Maple Castor, Dixon, Marine Ista and Kawa Dalian sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
Port Qasim
A total of twelve ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them Liquefied Natural Gas carrier ‘Al-Areesh’ left the port on Wednesday morning, while seven more ships, Aquavita Trust, Thai Chemi, GFS Pride, GSL Rossi, Star Cape Tonw, Kang Yao and Twerk are expected to sail.
Cargo volume of 189,288 tones comprising 160,227 tones imports cargo and 29,061 export cargo carried in 3,809 Containers (2,409 TEUs Imports and 1,400 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 16 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Hantong Lucky, Xin Hai Tong-48 and Ming Qiang Xing and another ship ‘DP World Chennai’ carrying PTA in Bags, Coal and Container are expected to take berths MW-2, PIBT and QICT respectively on 12th August, 2026.
