ATC sentences four PTI leaders to 10 years in prison each

LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court on Saturday awarded 10-year imprisonment each to PTI leaders Dr Yasmin Rashid, Ijaz Chaudhry, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid and Umar Sarfraz Cheema in May 09 violence case.

The court pronounced its verdict at Kot Lakhpat Jail and also sentenced the PTI activists Shah Deen, Khawar Hussain, Ahmad Zahid and Hafiz Syedur Rahman for 10-year jail each.

During proceedings, the prosecution brought forward 37 witnesses against the accused.
