FAISALABAD: On the directives of the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), Chief Executive Officer of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Engr Muhammad Aamer has established emergency response centers across the region to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

All field staff have been assigned special duties, while a central control room has been set up at FESCO headquarters. The control room will be supervised by GM Operations Umar Hayat Gondal and Chief Engineer Munawar Khan.

In this regard, CEO FESCO Engr Muhammad Aamer stated that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers during Eid-ul-Azha. Leaves of all field staff have been cancelled and operation and field officers have been directed to remain alert at their respective stations.

Sub-divisions have been provided with transformer trolleys and other necessary equipment to deal with emergencies. In case of power outages, faults, tripping or any emergency situation, staff will remain available at all times to ensure immediate restoration of electricity.

He further stated that FESCO is committed to ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply not only in urban areas but also in remote rural regions so that all consumers can celebrate Eid with full joy and convenience.

On this occasion, he appealed to electricity consumers not to tie sacrificial animals under electricity wires, near poles or with stay wires. He also requested the public not to dispose of animal waste near FESCO poles or electrical installations after performing the religious obligation of sacrifice as crows and kites often carry meat pieces and intestines onto electrical equipment causing short circuits, transformer damage and other disruptions.

FESCO spokesperson Muhammad Saeed Raza said in case of power outages, consumers can register complaints on First Circle telephone number 041-9200641, 0370-1813109, Second Circle 041-9330063, 0370-1813207, Jhang Circle 047-9200220, 0370-1813302, Sargodha Circle 048-9232378, 0370-1813409, Mianwali Circle 0459-920033, 0370-1813506 and, Toba Tek Singh Circle telephone number 046-9201119, 0370-1813609.

He told that consumers can also register complaints via FESCO Smart App, Helpline 118, Toll-free number 0800-66554, and SMS service 8118. Immediate action will be taken on all complaints.

CEO FESCO has directed all concerned officers to remain present in their offices and available 24/7 during the holidays so that consumers can easily access them and get their issues resolved. He warned that strict action will be initiated against any staff found negligent or careless.
