KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 61,013 tonnes of Cargo Comprising 50,379 tonnes of Import Cargo and 10,634 tonnes of Export Cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The Total Import Cargo of 50,379 tonnes Comprised of 23,049 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 2,751 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, 3,922 tonnes of Canola, 1,135 tonnes of Chickpeas, 19,522 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The Total Export Cargo of 10,634 tonnes Comprised of 7,072 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 797 tonnes of B Bulk Cargo, & 1,765 tonnes of Rice, 1,000 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
Approximately, 05 ships namely, Ym Express, Lian Star, M T Khaiprur, Marine Ista, & Asana berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 05 ships namely,Lian Gui Hu, Oocl Nagoya, Chemroad Hawk, MT Shalmar, & Seaspan Bellwether sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘GFS Jade’ left the port on Wednesday morning, while two more ships, Raon Teresa and Lady of Doria are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 88,870 tones comprising 48,589 tones imports cargo and 40,281 export cargo carried in 266 Containers (8 TEUs Imports & 258 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 11 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them a bulk cargo carrier ship ‘Kobayashi Maru’ & two more ships, Hansa Europe and CMA CGM Nile carrying Coal and Container expected to take berths PIBT and QICT respectively on Wednesday 06th May, 2026.
