ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Senator Ishaq Dar on Friday held a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The development came hours ahead of the anticipated arrival in Islamabad of an Iranian delegation led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Ishaq Dar and the Russian Foreign Minister discussed bilateral relations and cooperation at multilateral fora in support of international peace and security.

FM Lavrov appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States.
