Several companies, including China’s Shanghai Jinsun New Energy Technology Co.Ltd, have expressed keen interest in establishing electric vehicle charging centres in Sindh.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Investment and Public-Private Partnership Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said this while presiding over a meeting held with representatives of Chinese companies in his office on Wednesday.

He said that due to the increasing demand for electric vehicles, the need for EV charging centres was rising rapidly, adding that discussions were underway with various companies under a public-private partnership.

“The meeting with the Chinese company was held for the establishment of electric vehicle charging centres in the province,” Qamar said.
