President Zardari meets top ministers to review national security, economic roadmap

President Asif Ali Zardari held a high-profile consultative meeting at Bhutto House, Naudero, with Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik to discuss national security and the economic roadmap.
The meeting was attended by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP Women Wing Central President Faryal Talpur, and Sindh Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.
The session covered a wide range of critical national issues. Minister Naqvi briefed the president on ongoing anti-terror operations and the current border security situation. A detailed review of Pak-Afghan tensions and broader regional security challenges was conducted.
Finance Minister Aurangzeb and Petroleum Minister Ali provided updates on economic performance, energy sector reforms, and government strategies to manage the impact of rising global fuel prices.
President Zardari issued specific instructions to the federal team. In light of regional instability, economic policies must be geared toward providing maximum relief to the citizens, he stressed.
The president directed the ministers to keep the burden of petroleum price hikes to a minimum to ensure the common man is protected from inflation.
