ISLAMABAD: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will arrive in Pakistan on a two-day state visit from February 5 to 6, leading a high-level delegation of senior cabinet members and business leaders, in a move seen as a major step towards deepening Pakistan–Uzbekistan economic and strategic partnership.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and comes amid growing momentum in bilateral engagement, particularly in trade, regional connectivity and people-to-people links between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
During his stay, President Mirziyoyev will call on President Asif Ali Zardari, hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and address the Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Forum, which is expected to bring together leading investors and entrepreneurs from both sides.
