PESHAWAR: Advisor to KP Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam has taken exception to the statement of the Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal and has called for the formation of a committee to review the four-year performance of the federal government.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Muzzammil Aslam said that the federal government itself is facing serious governance issues and has been given six months’ time. A government suffering from poor governance is in no position to assess the performance of others.
Muzzammil Aslam said that the Prime Minister should explain where the ‘Uraan Pakistan Program” has gone, and Ahsan Iqbal should clarify the current status of the projects under his ministry. He questioned how much budget the Federal Ministry of Planning and development was released in the first six months, and how many projects have been completed since 2022.
The KP Advisor on Finance further said that Ahsan Iqbal should explain what progress has been made on CPEC since 2022, and the Prime Minister should clarify that between 2022 and 2025, loans amounting to PKR 35,000 billion were taken and how many development projects were completed with this amount.
